Die Auswertung der Hortfunde durch Chryssanthaki-Nagle (2007) bestätigte die von May (1966) aufgestellte Abfolge der abderitischen Münzen, erbrachte aber eine Neudatierung der Serie, die nach Chryssanthaki-Nagle zwanzig Jahre später als von May angenommen beginnt. Prägungen des Beamten Hipponax werden in das Jahr 321 v. Chr. verlegt.
