Der weibliche Kopf auf der Vorderseite wird als Demeter oder Persephone interpretiert. Bei einigen Examplaren dieses Typs ist auf Grund des Erhaltungszustandes nicht zu erkennen, ob sich im rechten oberen Feld das Gerstenkorn oder ein anderes Beizeichen z.B. eine Weintraube befindet. The female head on the obverse has been interpreted as Demeter or Persephone. In some examples of this type, it is not possible to tell from the state of preservation whether there is a grain or something else e.g. a bunch of grapes in the upper right field.
