Lily Grozdanova: Upgrading the Historical Narrative
The project investigates the Roman colony of Deultum using traditional historical and archaeological methods alongside innovative techniques such as archaeometry, GIS, and archaeoinformatics to reveal complex social, cultural, economic and political dynamics.
A key objective is to integrate over 40 years of research data into the Linked Open Data framework, applying the FAIR principles. This approach aims to enhance both the theoretical and practical aspects of historical analysis. The project applies diverse strategies to digitize and disseminate data of different types, with a significant focus on coins, demonstrating how a digital interdisciplinary approach can enable their reinterpretation.
The event will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 4 p.m. c.t. in hybrid form: Unter den Linden 8, Lise-Meitner-Saal and Zoom.
