Join us for the Digital Classicist Seminar
As part of the Digital Classicist Seminar, our colleagues from the Big Data Lab in Frankfurt will talk about the recent IT-developments in numismatics. In the lecture they will briefly present the Nomisma.org and Corpus Nummorum projects and demonstrate how they are networked in order to demonstrate the advantages of Linked Open Data. Furthermore, they will introduce how successfully we use natural language processing (NLP) methods on coin descriptions and image recognition on coin images. Many of the approaches and tools can be easily transferred to other object types.
