Vladilen Anochin passed away
Born in 1930, Vladilen Anochin worked at the Institute of Archaeology in Kiev from 1960 to 2010. A great scholar and character, he is known for his valuable contributions to the numismatics of the northern Black Sea coast and of Thrace, which include “Coins of Ataias” (1973), The Coinage of Chersonesus: IV century BC - XII century AD (Kiev 1977; Oxford 1980); The Coinage of Bosporos (Kiev 1986); Ancient Greek Coins of the Northern Black Sea Region (Kiev 2011), and many others.
