Roads, Communication and Mobility
The Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Ephorates of Antiquities of Thrace in partnership with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Istanbul University have the pleasure to announce the 3rd International Conference on Roman and Late Antique Thrace (RaLATh). The Conference will be held from 19th till 21st of October 2018 in Komotini, the Capital of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. This Region is situated in the south-western part of the Roman Province of Thrace. The conference theme focuses on land, river and sea roads as a medium of communication and mobility of goods, products, people and ideas. The aim is to give scholars from an related field (archeologists, historians, numismatists, epigraphists, philologists) the opportunity to contribute with their studies to the above topic.
