Draganov interpretiert die Vorderseitenikonographie als Kopf der Athena. Allerdings scheint es sich vielmehr um einen männlichen Kopf zu handeln. Auf der Rückseite einiger Exemplare sind im linken Feld uneindeutige Legendenreste erkennbar. Draganov interprets the iconography of the obverse as head of Athena. However, it seems to be a male head. On the reverse of some specimens, there are some letters in the left field, which apparently belong to an obscure inscription.
