Museum Assistant at the Berlin Münzkabinett
The Berlin Münzkabinett is seeking a museum assistant (in training) to start in November 2019. The position is open to applicants of all genders and will be limited to a two year period. The application deadline is September 9, 2019.
This position affords the opportunity to gain in-depth practical experience after the completion of an advanced degree and is especially suitable for those who wish to continue working in the museum sector.
The Münzkabinett, with its c. 540,000 objects, is the largest and most important coin collection in Germany and is counted among the top five museums of its kind worldwide. The collection focuses on ancient coins, coins from the Middle Ages (including Byzantium) and the Islamic world, and art medals dating from the Renaissance to the present. A regional focus is placed on the numismatics of Brandenburg and Prussia.
