Exciting lecture
Paul Seyfried will present his doctoral research topic at the Berlin Numismatic Society on November 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the study room of the Coin Cabinet. The topic concerns the coinage of the city of Lampsakos. Special attention will be given to the development of a distinctive coin coin design from Lampsakos—the winged horse protomes. The motif underwent iconographic changes over several centuries, reflecting broader political, cultural, and local developments. Guests are warmly welcome.
