Greek Coinage Online

Please join us for an introduction to the ARCH portal, which is creating a typology of Ancient Greek Coinage. It is a hybrid event which will take place at the BnF in Paris, but you can also participate remotely via Zoom.

The webinar is about the overarching platform for the study of ancient Greek coinage from the 7th to the 1st century BC. Using the nomisma.org knowledge organisation system, ARCH has built a unified portal across multiple online typological resources, as well as a ‘Skeleton’ typology for the whole of the remainder of Greek coinage. CN is part of it. Join us for the introduction where we also present our individual projects, to inform you which material is covered in what way, which methods and rules we followed and where we are. It is an ongoing process.
