Applications for the 4th Summer School of Ancient Greek and Roman Numismatics in Athens are open. || For the 2nd time, the American Numismatic Society is pleased to accept applications for the Collier Prize, which recognizes an outstanding publication in ancient numismatics.

The fourth Summer School on Ancient Greek and Roman Numismatics by the Institute of Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation will be held in Athens, June 27th to July 7th 2023. The school aims at familiarising those who have little or no background with the discipline of numismatics by offering a series of introductory courses, visits to major numismatic collections in Athens, as well as guided visits to archaeological sites in Athens and Attica. The visiting scholar for 2023 is Thomas Faucher, Researcher at the Centre d’Études Alexandrines. The applications are currently open. The Collier Prize in Ancient Numismatics will be awarded to the best single or multi-authored book, catalog, or online digital work related to ancient numismatics (650 BCE to 300 CE). The distinguished prize seeks to reward innovative research in the field and is one of the most substantial monetary prizes to support scholarship in ancient numismatics. The winner(s) of the biennial prize will receive $20,000.
The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2023.
