Beyond Macedonia

CN takes part in an international conference in ancient Aigai, the royal metropolis of Macedon.

An international conference “Beyond Macedonia. The multifaceted Hellenistic Oikoumene reconsidered” organized by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Imathia was held from May 27 to June 2, 2022 at the New Museum of Aigai, Greece. Bringing together over fifty scholars from all around the world, the conference focused on the phenomena such as economy, architecture, artistic and cultural trends, as well as on recent archaeological discoveries made in the large Hellenistic world, from Pakistan to the western Mediterranean. The CN team was represented by Vladimir Stolba
whose paper explored old and introduced new, archaeological and numismatic, evidence on the presence of Macedonian troops north of the Danube in the 4^th century BC.
